Waterproofing Injection

Polyurethane and epoxy injection that seals leaks from inside the structure — a permanent fix for foundations, basements, water tanks, and wet areas in Abu Dhabi.

The Permanent Solution to Water Leaks

Most contractors treat water leaks from the outside — applying surface membranes that peel, crack, or fail under sustained hydrostatic pressure. We work from the inside. Our injection method delivers polyurethane or epoxy resin directly into active cracks, joints, and voids in concrete, creating a structural seal that addresses the source of the problem.

Injection waterproofing is the specialist solution for structures where exterior access is restricted or impractical: occupied buildings, below-grade foundations, basements, and water-retaining structures. It meets Abu Dhabi Municipality building standards and is the technically correct approach for the UAE's construction environment.

Why UAE Concrete Structures Develop Water Leaks

Abu Dhabi's built environment creates specific conditions that accelerate water ingress through concrete. High-salinity groundwater — with chloride concentrations well above international averages — attacks concrete reinforcement and opens capillary pathways over time. The region's extreme thermal cycle (cold winter nights to 45°C+ summer days) causes repeated expansion and contraction in concrete, progressively widening microcracks. Flash flooding events push water under sustained hydrostatic pressure against below-grade structures that were not designed for long-term saturation.

Surface membranes applied during original construction typically fail within 10–15 years under these conditions. When they fail, the only effective remediation is sealing from inside the structure — where the water pressure acts. Injection waterproofing is the method accepted by Abu Dhabi Municipality for remedial below-grade waterproofing, and the technically correct response to this specific failure mode.

How It Works

01

Site Assessment

We inspect the affected structure, trace the water ingress to its source, and identify the optimal injection points.

02

Precision Injection

Resin is injected under controlled pressure, filling cracks and voids from the inside and bonding permanently to the concrete substrate.

03

Verification & Documentation

We confirm the seal is effective, restore the surface, and issue a completion report with warranty details.

Polyurethane or Epoxy — Which Material?

Polyurethane Foam

Expands on contact with water, sealing active leaks even under ongoing water pressure. Ideal for cracks in motion and high-flow ingress points.

Epoxy Resin

A rigid, high-strength adhesive for structural cracks requiring a load-bearing seal. Used where crack movement has stopped and structural bonding is the priority.

Frequently Asked Questions

When correctly applied to stable concrete, polyurethane and epoxy injection seals are long-term — the material bonds into the concrete matrix rather than sitting on the surface. Longevity depends on structural movement and ongoing hydrostatic pressure. We issue a completion report with warranty details on every project.
Yes — that is the primary advantage of the injection method. We drill ports directly through the interior face of the structure and inject resin under pressure. No excavation or exterior access required.
Most injection waterproofing jobs in Abu Dhabi take one to three days depending on the affected area. We assess the scope during the site visit and give you a specific timeline before work begins.
Yes. We use food-safe polyurethane resins for potable water tanks. The cured material is inert and meets UAE potable water contact standards.
A membrane is applied to the exterior surface and relies on adhesion to keep water out. Injection works from inside — the resin fills the crack itself, creating a structural seal. Membranes can delaminate under hydrostatic pressure; injection seals cannot peel away.
Yes. Injection waterproofing is an accepted method under Abu Dhabi Municipality building regulations and is the technically preferred solution for below-grade and water-retaining structures where exterior membrane application is not feasible.
Indicative ranges: small wet room or bathroom repair AED 800–2,000; medium basement section AED 3,000–8,000; large basement or underground car park from AED 10,000. Water tank waterproofing typically AED 1,500–5,000 depending on capacity. Final cost depends on affected area, crack volume, resin type, and access conditions — we provide an itemised quote after a free site assessment.
